The examination is usually performed transvaginally and is typically painless. Dr. Charak ensures patient comfort throughout the entire examination.

For transvaginal examination, it's recommended to arrive with an empty bladder (use the restroom before the examination). No fasting or other special preparation is needed. You may bring your partner to experience the moment together.

The examination itself takes about 15 minutes, and including consultation, explanations and answering questions – about 20-30 minutes total.

There are several possible reasons for not detecting a heartbeat, and it's not always a concerning finding. Dr. Charak will explain all possibilities clearly and sensitively, determine appropriate follow-up, and be available for any questions.
